This session deals with many of the underlying causes of addiction. It is a well-documented fact that addicts use their addictive behaviors to mask or cover up the feelings and emotions of past injuries, abuse and trauma. Because we were unable to control or prevent these past injuries, they can render us with feelings of insecurity, helplessness and vulnerability with Personal Empowerment Training. Personal Empowerment Training has been specifically designed to help the client discover, evaluate, and eliminate the base injuries, abuse and trauma’s that are so often to root trigger of their addictive behavior. Without reliving or bringing up past traumas, Clients are taken through a gentle but deep process of personal introspection and healing. By empowering the client to remove their past wounds, the client is able to take full advantage of their future addiction and behavioral therapy sessions.
Life Skills Training
Positive Adjustments’ Life Skills Trainings benefit clients that may be lacking skills need in their everyday life. Class participants are encouraged to practice the skills taught in Life Skills Trainings in their daily lives and to report the outcomes in class. Life Skills Instructors assist participants by offering suggestions and providing feedback applicable to real life scenarios.
The Life Skills Training program focuses on the development of mental, physical, social and emotional growth and helps participants to live a satisfying and productive life within the customs and laws of society. It is the goal of Positive Adjustments to ensure that the life skills taught play an important role in molding the individual.
